PPTP is now essentially obsolete due to PIA, IP Vanish. Now I’m using Windscribe. I’ve had similar results with all the VPN provider’s clients that I mentioned. Additionally, my CPU load is quite low too so it’s not a CPU issue causing the substantial reduction in speeds. I appreciate your effort and your explanation!
